asked the Secretary of State for Trade what is the current six-monthly level of consumer price inflation.

The retail prices index increased by 10.3 per cent. in the 12 months to May 1979, and has increased by 18.4 per cent. in the past 12 months, and by 7.1 per cent. in the past six months.
