§ Mr. RaisonAn exercise to monitor illicit citizens band transmissions in the 27 MHz frequency band was held on the evening of 30 November-1 December 1979. Monitoring teams in all the Post Office areas were involved and approximately 1,350 illicit stations were heard.
§ Mr. Canavanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received about citizens band radio; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RaisonI refer the hon. Member to the reply given to questions by my hon. Friend the Member for Bromsgrove and Redditch (Mr. Miller) and the hon. Member for Grimsby (Mr. Mitchell) on 28 February—[Vol. 979, c. 677–78]. Since 1 May 1979, over 5,000 items of correspondence have been received on the subject of citizens band radio.
