§ Mr. Maxwell-Hyslopasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what action has been taken regarding the recommendation of the committee of inquiry into the veterinary profession, Cmnd. 6143, that the manpower needs in the profession should be officially reviewed and reported on at intervals of approximately five years.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerA report is now available of the first five-year review which was carried out by a team comprising representatives of the agriculture Departments, the Department of Education and Science, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the University Grants Committee. Copies of the report, which is entitled "Manpower Review of the Veterinary Profession in the United Kingdom", have been deposited in the Library of the House.
