§ Mr. Critchleyasked the Secretary of State for Defence what are his intentions with regard to the future of the national gas turbine establishment at Pyestock.
§ Mr. HayhoeThe national gas turbine establishment was included in the major review of the functions of the R & D establishments described in the Statement on the Defence Estimates Cmnd. 7826 paragraph 748. The report of the reviw is now being considered, and consultation with staff interests and others concerned will follow as soon as possible. I am not yet, therefore, in a position to make a statement.
