§ Mr. FowlerMany local authorities already encourage and support voluntary bus services, but there is considerable scope for their further development. The Transport Bill seeks to remove unnecessary restrictions on this type of operation. Guidance notes are being prepared for local authorities and others to draw attention to the wider opportunities which the enactment of the Transport Bill will bring.
