§ Mr. FowlerThe provisional outturn of expenditure of the maintenance of motorways and trunk roads in 1979–80 is £93 million at 1979 survey prices. The Government's spending plans provide for spending to continue at or just below this level until 1983–84, subject to the overriding need to keep within annual cash limits.
