§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) if he will publish a table showing tax thresholds and tax break-even points for each of a single person, a single wage married couple, and single wage couples with each of two and four children, including teenage children, as percentages of average male manual 204W earnings, for each year since 1949–50, including an estimate for the first months of 1980–81;
(2) if he will publish a table showing tax thresholds and tax break-even points for each of a single person, a married couple, single and two wages, and a couple with each of two and four children, including teenage children, at current and at constant prices, for each five years since 1949–50, and for each year since 1974–75.
