asked the Minister of Transport whether he will institute an inquiry into restrictive practices in British Railways.

Mr. Fowler

I have no plans to do so.

Any such issue in London and the South-East would fall within the terms of reference of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission inquiry on commuter services.
