1975–76 £4,539,000 1976–77 £3,706,000 1977–78 £5,029,000 1978–79 £6,940,000 1979–80 £7,524,000 The public service filler material broadcast both by the commercial television and radio networks and by the British Broadcasting Corporation as well as the BBC radio public service announcements are all transmitted free of charge.
