§ Mr. Georgeasked the Minister for the Civil Service if he will make a statement on what is accepted as proper personal conduct for members of public bodies in relation to possible conflicts with personal or family interests; and if he will set out how steps are taken by his Department to ensure that no conflict of interests arises.
§ Mr. ChannonIt is not part of my responsibilities to lay down principles of proper personal conduct for members of public bodies. It is for each sponsoring Department to see that any necessary steps are taken in this matter.
