asked the Secretary of State for Industry what are the current levels of capital expenditure and the number of employees in the Post office corporation and the British Steel Corporation.

The last published information on total employment and capital expenditure for both corporations is to be found in their annual reports for 1978–79 (page 7 for BSC and pages 41 and 73 for the Post Office) and the public expenditure White Paper for 1980–81 to 1983–84. (Cmnd. 7841) (table 3.4).
