The Solicitor-GeneralThe Lord Chancellor is, in part, responsible for recommendations 26–51, which contain proposals for the establishment of a separate system of family courts. However, for the reasons which have already been given—[Vol. 970, c. 405 and Vol. 974, c. 174]—the Government have not been able to make any substantial progress towards legislation in this area.
