HC Deb 24 June 1980 vol 987 c150W
Mr. Alfred Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, pursuant to the speech by the Minister with special responsibility for the disabled in the House, Official Report, 12 June, column 840, whether Government policy on the proposals to improve the industrial injuries scheme is now decided or if a decision will not be taken until the response to the consultative document is fully known.

Mr. Prentice

Government policy on improvements to the industrial injuries scheme has not been decided. Decisions will not be taken until after the end of the consultation period, for which the discussion document provides, when all responses will be taken fully into account.
