Mr. Biggs-Davidsonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (1) what action is to follow the presentation to Her Majesty's Government and the Government of the Irish Republic of the joint management consultant's report on the Erne catchment area; from what sources the necessary funds will be obtained; and if he will ensure that Northern Ireland is treated as favourably as the Republic in the schemes that are carried out;
(2) if he will make a statement on the international meeting held at Enniskillen on 9 June concerning the development of the Erne catchment area.
§ Mr. Giles ShawAt the meeting in Enniskillen on 9 June 1980 the consul-160W police was thoroughly reviewed by the Bennett committee, and in its report (Cmnd. 7497), which was published in March 1979, it recommended some minor improvements relating to police procedures which have been implemented. I do not consider that any further review is now necessary.
