§ Mr. MacfarlaneIt is for individual local education authorities and schools to decide what equipment best meets their needs, but consideration of the problems caused by lack of standardised equipment will form part of the microelectronics development programme for schools and colleges. Systematic information about the equipment used in schools is not available in the Department, partly because provision is subject to rapid change.
