§ Mr. Pawseyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, further to his replies of 17 June to the hon. Member for Rugby, whether, in light of the expiry on 30 November 1977 of the period for objecting to the draft revised map of public rights of way in Warwickshire, he is satisfied that untoward delay has not occurred in announcing the date of a public inquiry; and whether he will make representations to the county council in order that it should expedite its part in the resolution of the issue.
§ Mr. MonroWith the large number of objections received in relation to the draft revised map of public rights of way for Warwickshire, some delay in making2W arrangements for any necessary public local inquiries is inevitable. My officials are in contact with the county council, which is considering the objections received, but it is for it to determine the relative priority to attach to this work.
