§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will consider the desirability of extending the current provision for the supervising of children by dinner ladies to include the increasing number of children in the Bangor area who are bringing packed lunches.
§ Mr. GoodhartThe number of supervisory assistants employed to supervise pupils during the mid-day break is related to the number of children taking school meals, after allowance is made for teachers who volunteer to undertake this work. It is not proposed to increase the numbers employed by taking account of those pupils taking packed lunches.
