§ Mr. Marlowasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is (a) the average annual cost of a job in the public sector, (b) the average tax and national insurance remittance that a public sector worker pays, (c) the average unemployment and supplementary benefit he would be entitled to if out of work and (d) his marginal cost of employment, namely (a) less (b) and (c).
