§ 40. Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what estimates he has made of the increases in food surpluses in the European Economic Community as a direct result of the recent agreement on farm prices.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe price increases in the farm price settlement and from recent green rate decisions are substantially less than the rate of inflation in the Community. There is therefore no reason to expect increased surpluses to result from the price settlement.
