HC Deb 19 June 1980 vol 986 cc667-8W
Mr. Durant

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what changes have been made to the cash limit for Class XIV, Vote 1.

Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

Subject to approval of Parliament, expenditure by the Property Service Agency on office and general accommodation services is to be increased by £1.1 million to allow a start to be made on certain urgent building projects to meet the operational needs of other Government Departments. The funding of expenditure in subsequent years will be agreed by the Property Service Agency with the relevant departments. Consequently, the cash limit for Class XIV, Vote I will be increased to £414.616 million. There will be no increase in total public expenditure as the Departments in question will make offsetting reductions in their cash limits in respect of these transfers as follows Department of Transport Class VI Vote 8 reduced by £1 million to £40.813 million Scottish Office Class XIII Vote 24 reduced by £0.1 million to £61.495 million

Revised and Supplementary Estimates will be presented to reflect these changes.
