asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what proportion of staff in residential homes for the elderly hold a professional qualification.

The latest information available relates to full-time staff (England) as at 30 September 1977. It does not include information about staff with the certificate of qualification in social work, but their numbers are believed to be small.
