Mr. J. Enoch Powellasked the Attorney-General what steps he proposes to take to improve the accommodation at Newry courthouse.
The Solicitor-GeneralSince 1976, three separate schemes to improve this accommodation have been investigated, but none has been found to be practicable. However, steps are being taken to see that on the few occasions when the magistrates' court must sit in the juvenile courtroom the amount of business conducted is not such that inconvenience is caused to the resident magistrate, lawyers or the public.
