§ Sir George YoungThe total amount held in NHS accounts on behalf of patients at 31 March 1979 was £239,000 in Bradford area health authority and £22.9 million in England and Wales. It is not possible to say how much of this represents unspent mobility allowance, and I regret that information on amounts held on behalf of patients in different types of hospital is not available centrally.
