HL Deb 17 June 1980 vol 410 c1109WA
Baroness DAVID

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many county associations of district councils and how many metropolitan districts within their own conurbation have submitted plans for voluntary mobility schemes as part of discussions between the Department of the Environment and local authority associations on arrangements for mobility in public sector housing.

Lord BELLWIN

The National Mobility Scheme Working Group which is drawing up the arrangements for a voluntary scheme has not yet completed its work. But three non-metropolitan counties and one conurbation have already drawn up detailed proposals for their areas which will in due course be incorporated in the national scheme. The remaining counties are in the process of doing so.
