§ Mr. RaisonOver 70 different classes of licence for radio transmitting equipment are issued by this Department. The time taken to issue a licence depends on the complexity of the application and the current level of demand, and varies between a few days and several weeks. I shall be pleased to consider any particular case which my hon. Friend has in mind.
The requirement for a user of radio equipment to hold a licence and my right hon. Friend's power to revoke licences are contained in section 1 of the Wireless Telegraphy Act 1949.
