HC Deb 16 June 1980 vol 986 c383W
Viscount Cranborne

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will reconsider his refusal to remove the anomalies in the treatment, for pension purposes, of those members of the Armed Forces who retired between 1976 and 1978.

Mr. Channon

I have been asked to reply.

I refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Brigg and Scunthorpe (Mr. Brown) on 21 December 1979.—[Vol. 976, c. 421–22.] I regret that I cannot hold out any hope of a change in the decision I announced then.
