§ 13. Mr. Bestasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will give his estimate of the number of overseas students at universities and polytechnics in the academic year 1980–81.
§ Dr. Boyson: It is estimated that some 26,000 overseas students now at universities and polytechnics in Great Britain will continue their present courses in 1980–81. No reliable estimate can be made about the number of overseas students beginning courses after 1 September.
