§ Mr. Cryerasked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) what staff levels the Health and Safety Executive proposes for the hazardous installations group ; and whether this will be achieved before the notification scheme comes into force in 1982–83 ;
(2) on what basis the Health and Safety Executive deals with planning applications ; how long it is taking to process these applications ; what effect the proposed cuts in staff will have ; and if he will ensure that all hazard assessments are examined thoroughly.
