§ 31. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will invite the Science Research Council, Agricultural Research Council, Medical Research Council and Natural Environment Research Council to set up a joint committee for biotechnology.
§ Mr. Macfarlane: This proposal is contained in one of the recommendations of the report on biotechnology of a joint working party of the advisory council for applied research and development, the advisory board for the research councils and the Royal Society. The Government are still considering this report.
