§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsResearch on the effects of technological change is at present undertaken centrally. I refer the hon. Member to the report "Technological Change", prepared by the Advisory Council for Applied Research and Development, published in January 1980, and the report "The Manpower Implications of Microelectronics Technology", prepared by the Manpower Study Group of the Department of Employment, published in December 1979. Copies of both reports have been placed in the Library of the House.
