§ Mr. Wrigglesworthasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if any of the 40 staff savings in his Department, the 465 in Customs and Excise, the 5,515 in the Inland Revenue and the 1,070 in National Savings announced on 6 December 1979 805W have yet been made; and if not, when he expects them to be achieved and in what divisions, at what grades, and in which geographical regions.

INLAND REVENUE (31 March 1982) CO and below 2,305 EO and above 400 Some 1,800 of the further reduction consists of posts in local tax and collection offices throughout the United Kingdom, and about 600 will be in the network of district valuers' offices.
