§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he is now in a position to announce the new charges for prepayment certificates from 1 December.
§ Dr. VaughanFrom 1 December the charges for prepayment certificates—season tickets—will be £15.00 for an annual certificate and £5.50 for a four-monthly certificate. At present the certificates are worth while for anyone requiring more than 17 prescription items in a year or more than six items in four months. At the new prices, they will be worth while for anyone requiring more than 15 items in a year or five items in four months.772W Certificates at the current rates of £12.00 a year and £4.50 for four months may continue to be purchased prior to 1 December and will remain valid for their full period.
