At this national level standards of hygiene are among the subjects with which the work of the Health Education Council is concerned. Leaflets and posters are available from the council for the use of health education officers in encouraging high standards of personal hygiene and of local authorities' environmental health officers in exercising their responsibilities in relation to standards of hygiene in handling food.
