§ Mr. Marlowasked the Lord Privy Seal what will be the additional costs to the United Kingdom of the accession of Greece to the EEC for each of the next three years.
§ Sir Ian GilmourPreliminary calculations of the additional budgetary cost to the United Kingdom of Greek accession indicated that the cost—at 1980 prices—would have been of the order of £15 million in 1981, £30 million in 1982 and £50 million in 1983. As a result of the new budgetary arrangements worked out for the United Kingdom the total cost to the United Kingdom of Greek accession over this period will be substantially reduced, but it is too early to make precise estimates of the eventual outcome.
