§ Mr. Lathamasked the Prime Minister whether she will list the occasions and dates when she has met official representatives of the Trades Union Congress at a formal meeting to discuss policy issues, excluding meetings with Civil Service unions about Whitley conditions; and whether there has been any occasion when she refused to meet a Trades Union Congress deputation after the congress has officially requested one.
§ The Prime MinisterI met representatives of the TUC at 10 Downing Street on 25 June 1979 and at NEDC on 9 January 1980, and representatives of the Wales TUC on 29 October 1979. I have received no further requests for meetings from the TUC at national level.
