§ Mr. AlisonIt is not possible, except at disproportionate cost, to state the number of terrorist attacks separately on commercial and industrial premises during the 10 years in question, nor the amount of compensation paid before 1978. In 1978–79, £9.93 million was paid in consequence of terrorist damage to privately owned commercial and industrial properties, and in 1979.80 £7.40 million. A number of claims remain outstanding.
