Mr. Faulds

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the out- come of the inquiry into the retention of the ticket office in the booking hall designed by Scott at St. Paneras station; and whether John Bancroft's scheme of adaptation of the ticket office was adopted.

The inspector's report has been received and is under consideration. The Victorian Society's alternative proposals, prepared by Mr. Bancroft, were presented at the inquiry and will be considered with the other representations made.
