asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many circulars and other forms of general guidance his Department issued during the months January to April 1978, 1979 and 1980.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what proposals he has to amend the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970; and if he will ensure that these proposals will not weaken the mandatory parts of the Act.

I have no present plans to amend the 1970 Act.
