§ Sir John Langford-Holtasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will reintroduce the compulsory sheep dipping requirement on the same basis as last year.
§ Mr. WigginAs sheep scab is virtually confined to South-West England, the imposition of a compulsory national diping period would not be justified. We shall be applying compulsory dipping to the South-West in the coming season and shall be advising farmers elsewhere that voluntary autumn dipping would be a sensible precaution.
