HC Deb 31 July 1980 vol 989 c845W
Dr. Edmund Marshall

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the level of fees now paid to the inspectors he appoints to conduct local public inquiries into planning appeals.

Mr. King

Public local inquiries into planning appeals are generally conducted by salaried planning inspectors but fee-paid inspectors are occasionally appointed at daily rates which range from £49 to £72 per day.
