HC Deb 31 July 1980 vol 989 c789W
25. Mr. Cryer

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he next expects to meet the chief constable of North Yorkshire to discuss the level of crime in North Yorkshire.

Mr. Whitelaw

I have no plans at present to meet the chief constable of North Yorkshire. I have, however, noted that the chief constable's report for 1979 records a welcome reduction in recorded crime in North Yorkshire between 1978 and 1979.
