§ Mr. Tom Benyonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he is receiving from people who live in areas likely to be vulnerable in the event of a nuclear war, such as cruise missile sites and nuclear establishments, to enable him to come to a conclusion on national civil defence.
§ Mr. WhitelawI have received a few representations from people who live in such areas, some saying that they should be treated exceptionally in the provision of shelters, and some saying that cruise missiles should not be stationed in the United Kingdom.
