§ The PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY of STATE, HOME OFFICE (Lord Belstead)We understand that the Community Roots Resource Centre is a charitable trust established to provide advice and assistance to ethnic minority self-help groups and that it is funded primarily by members' subscriptions and private donations. We also understand that the centre received a grant of £3,000 from the Commission for Racial Equality in 1979 as a contribution to its administrative costs. We are not aware that it has been supported by public funds in any other way.
