§ Mr. Onslowasked the Secretary of State for Defence what new arrangements have been made for the application of funds secured from Government levies on defence sales overseas; and if he is satisfied that these arrangements have been adequately publicised.
§ Mr. PattieReceipts from commercial exploitation levy and other Ministry of Defence charges in respect of overseas sales of defence equipment are appropriated in aid of Defence Votes, increasing the purchasing power of those Votes from which defence research, development and production are funded. Representations received on his subject have been principally from the aircraft industry. The Society of British Aerospace Companies has been informed of the current practice.
