§ Mr. FowlerThe report on this project by the Standing Advisory Committee on Trunk Road Assessment is being published today and copies are being placed in the Library. I have accepted its main conclusions. The project has produced a great deal of data for traffic forecasting and improved methods of modelling. This is being used to improve forecasts which will continue to be produced on a local and regional basis. But the project failed to develop a national model to forecast flows on particular roads. I am most grateful to the advisory committee for its advice.
