§ Mr. Murphyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will reconsider his decision on premium bond prizes so that a greater number of people may have the chance of winning smaller amounts of money.
§ Mr. LawsonI have no plans to change the prize structure introduced at the beginning of this month, in which the number of prizes was increased to over 74,000 a month and the value from £6.5 million to £8 million a month. Some 98 per cent. of prizes are of £50 or £100.
