§ 31. Sir David Priceasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will enter into discussions with the Manpower Services Commission to see whether the various jobs opportunity schemes can be extended to save jobs in the field of local authority social services where essential services are put at risk by necessary reductions in local government expenditure.
