§ 50. Mr. Robert Edwardsasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he has received new proposals from the Health and Safety Commission with a view to new legislation in connection with industrial deafness; and, if not, how soon these proposals can be expected.
§ Mr. MayhewNo. Although the Health and Safety Commission is formulating proposals I cannot yet say when it will submit them to my right hon. Friend.
The commission will be consulting widely on these proposals and in view of the number of people affected adequate time for consultation will be necessary.
