§ Mr. Patrick JenkinIt is not my practice, and has not been that of my predecessors, to reply directly to (he Health Service Commissioner's annual reports. These reports are considered by the Select Committee on the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and are the subject of a report by that Committee on which comments have then been made by the Government. Our comments on the most recent of these reports to appear—second report, Session 1978–79—are reproduced in the Select Committee's first special report for the Session 1979–80 (HC-405). I expect these arrangements to continue.
