§ Mr. Mayhew[pursuant to his reply, 21 July 1980 c. 12]: The examination of workers at the Coalite Oils and Chemical Ltd. plant at Bolsover was conducted in 1977–78 by the company's work medical officer in conjunction with outside consultants. It is understood that the selection of workers for the study was on the basis of a history of chloracne or of 167W possible exposure to the by-products of 2,4,5-T manufacture. The research protocol made no mention of heart attacks or angina.
